Film Festival Fundraiser

August 30, 2025

Come meet legendary actor Fred "The Hammer" Williamson at three showings of films starring Fred Williamson in our Film Festival Fundraiser! The Hammer will be present for a talkback and available for photo opportunities after each film to discuss the making of the movies and his time in Hollywood. “Joshua” the famous 1976 Black Western at 12pm. “Original Gangstas” at 3pm, the 1996 Blockbuster co-starring Pam Grier and Jim Brown. “Two Down One To Go” at 6pm, the thrilling combat movie with Jim Brown, Jim Kelly and Richard Roundtree.
 

12pm — JOSHUA: They should have known better! A black soldier returns from fighting for the Union in the Civil War only to find out that his mother has been murdered by a gang of white thugs. He becomes a bounty hunter, determined to track down and kill the men.


 

3pm — ORIGINAL GANGSTAS: A violent street gang, the Rebels, rule the streets of Gary, Indiana. Marvin's son John, a former NFL star, returns to Gary with his friends to destroy the Rebels his way.


 

6pm — ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO: They pack 4 times the punch!..The Fury!..The Excitement! A pair of tough cops go after the mob who jinxed the martial arts tournament and injured their buddy.

 

Built into the price of all tickets for this fundraiser event is a $25 donation to Passage Theatre.
